RUPA Presents: Scarlet Day of Service
The VR Experience was a RUPA partnership with Geek Week to present the new technology of Virtual Reality to Rutgers. With the help of Arcane Reality, RUPA was able to bring six computer based headsets and numerous mobile phone headsets to campus for students to enjoy. Students were able to enter the world of VR through games such as walking on a plank hundreds of feet in the air or through adventures such as the New York Times VR pilgrimage to Mecca. The novelty of the event and technology made the event logistics difficult to kick off, but as soon as a firm partnership was formed with Arcane Reality, the coordination was smooth and we were able to host a successful event.
