RUPA Presents: Scarlet Day of Service
“In the months leading up to the Gaypril opening ceremonies, my committee and I knew that we just had to find someone fabulous to kick the month off. After several meetings and discussions with literally anyone who would listen to us, we decided Lena Waithe would be the perfect fit for the job. We knew we couldn’t do an event this big without a little help, so we partnered with the wonderful Center for Social Justice Education & LGBT Communities. Getting to meet an Emmy award winning writer and star actress is just a small perk for us purps. The real reason we put on events like this is to put a smile on the faces of our fellow students”.
