09.25.18-10.01.18 —[College Ave, Zimmerli Art Museum]—Join us at Voorhees Mall to make your voice heard! Come fill out a lawn sign declaring your definition of freedom and place it among the hundreds that will be displayed on the mall. Pick up a lawn sign at our tent on the mall or in the lobby of the Zimmerli Art Museum. Voter registration forms and information will also be available at both locations to prepare you for the upcoming November elections.
This event is part of the 50 State Initiative organized by For Freedoms, a platform for civic engagement, discourse, and direct action for artists in the United States. Since 2016, For Freedoms has produced special exhibitions, town hall meetings, billboards, and lawn sign installations to spur greater participation in civic life. This year, the civic engagement platform launched its 50 State Initiative, a new phase of programming to encourage broad participation and inspire conversation around November’s midterm elections.
The lawn signs will be available for pickup from Tuesday, September 25th to Friday, September 28th. The exhibit will be open to the public for viewing until Monday, October 1st.
