Hundreds of people in the Rutgers family (site leaders, participants, and alumni) took time out of their day to serve communities across New Brunswick and New Jersey.
This past week RUPA held it’s annual Hot Dog Day with an outer space theme! This year’s Hot Dog Day included moon sand, vintage arcade games, laser tag and a zipline! As always, students flooded College Avenue and enjoyed free hot dogs with their friends !

Students enjoyed the beginning of spring with us and Rutgers Gardens as they enjoyed fun and educational stations about the environment. They were able to adopt-a-plant, taste microgreens, learn about propagation, create seed bombs, and more!
RUPA partnered with Cook/Douglass Recreation center to create Special Friends Day. Students that volunteered were able to enjoy the event with their new friend while participating in various activities including RUPA’s penguin craft!
Students volunteered their time to dance the afternoon away with the Senior Citizens of New Brunswick. Everyone had a date to our 70s Disco Prom as students and senior citizens danced, ate, and enjoyed a vinyl record craft!
On Thursday, March 1st, RUPA held its second Global Sounds event in Busch Student Center’s International Lounge. Students watched performances from some of Rutgers’s Latin American dancing clubs, ate traditional food, and decorated colorful mugs.
On Tuesday, February 20th, students took a break from classes and stopped by our DIY mask and flower crown craft at the College Avenue Student Center Atrium! Students painted, attached fun stickers, and glued garland to their masks in preparation for our upcoming Masquerade Ball at Zimmerli Art Museum!
